this design was made out of pure fun and enjoyment of studio ghibli which has inspired a lot of my personal and original artwork. I loved the idea of what it would be like if spirited away were a gameboy game. Instead of creating just another anime shirt, I wanted to create an art piece that introduced a new idea. Haku and no-face are re-drawn in 8 bit pixel art which we've screen printed on the tees. The patches with scenes from the movies have also been re-done in a pixel form, and I added game style text boxes.
the dyes were hand done by me in consideration with the ghibli color palette. Everything was printed and sewn in house by me and my partner. I'm very excited and proud of these art pieces.
